As an entrepreneur living and working in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City throughout the last three decades, I sincerely believe that ‘change’ is the defining characteristic of not only the Vietnamese business environment, but also of the world’s at large.
This simple belief and conviction regarding ‘change’ is the foundation on which I have built and shape the foundations of T&C from its beginnings in 1996 until today. As I look back at the T&C journey—its successes as well as failures— I’ve arrived at the conclusion that the elements determining the outcome of our business decisions have always been our treatment towards ‘changes.’ In fact, I am humble and proud of T&C’s outstanding ability to not only identify, but also embrace changes in the Vietnamese constantly growing economy, from introducing Komatsu heavy equipment to different sectors in Vietnam to taking part in building power plants for the nation’s energy security, and replanning Ho Chi Minh city’s water environment.
The T&C journey has been nothing short of astounding for me, as it’s given me countless opportunities to test my entrepreneurial spirit while allowing me to better understand the nation’s economy and needs in order to truly grasp the necessity of leading the change even before it occurs.
As I look forward to the future, it is undeniable that my responsibilities not only belong to shaping the Group’s future, but also to nurture and prepare the next generation of T&C leaders so that T&C Group continues to remain a trusted and committed organization working, not only for the benefit of its employees but also for that of the nation at large.
